Fire Prevention

Fire Prevention encompasses three areas:

  1. Public Education 

  2. Fire Code Inspections

  3. Investigation (fire cause and origin)

Our public education program consists of several areas. 

  1. Early Elementary school fire safety class.

  2. Fire Prevention Week at the Mall.

  3. Fire Starters (a fire safety program for juvenile first time offenders) 

  4. Fire Safety House

  5. Fire Extinguisher Training



 

The Fire Inspections Division conducts building plans review and inspections of new businesses as well as annual fire safety inspections of existing businesses.

 


Fire Investigators determine fire cause and point of origin on all fires that are suspicious or without a definite cause.
